Summary

EU to Introduce €7 Travel Authorization for Visa-Exempt Visitors in 2025. While over 60 countries will enjoy more streamlined travel to Europe under the EU’s upcoming ETIAS system, Moroccans will still need to secure Schengen visas. The EU will also be strengthening border checks with a new Entry/Exit System (EES) which will use fingerprint and facial scans to replace passport stamps at the border. The EES is now set to launch first in November 2024. Travel experts advise visa-exempt travelers to apply for authorization at least 96 hours before their Europe trips.
